The words

How they differ

Ask about the attribute, then pick:

「M サイズ は ありますか」(emu saizu wa arimasu ka?): do you have medium?

「いろ は なん ですか / なにいろ ですか」(iro wa nan desu ka / nani-iro desu ka?): what color is it?

「もう すこし おおきい サイズ」(mou sukoshi ookii saizu): a slightly bigger size

「ちいさい ほう を ください」(chiisai hou o kudasai): the smaller one, please

おおきい / ちいさい are い-adjectives like たかい / やすい. For clothes, サイズ often pairs with letter sizes (S/M/L) as loanwords.

Useful colors you'll already meet in stories: あかい, あおい, くろい, しろい — treat them as bonus, not this lesson's load.

Watch out

おおきい / ちいさい = big / small (size or things) — not たかい / やすい (price) サイズ = clothing/product size — English loan; same idea as "size" いろ = color — not いろいろ (various), though they share a root feel
