Javier llega primero al bar.
Javier arrives first at the bar.
Busca su mesa de siempre,
He looks for their usual table,
cerca de la tele grande.

—Una cerveza, por favor,
"A beer, please,"
y unos nachos para la mesa.
and some nachos for the table.
Hace semanas que no se ven.
They haven't seen each other in weeks.
El trabajo, la vida... todos ocupados.
Work, life... everyone busy.
Su teléfono suena.
His phone rings.
—¡Voy tarde! Hay mucho tráfico.
"I'm running late! There's a lot of traffic."
Es Marco, claro.
It's Marco, of course.
—¿A qué hora llegas?
"What time are you getting here?"
Diez minutos después, llega Marco.
Ten minutes later, Marco arrives.
—¡El tráfico, hermano, perdón!
"The traffic, brother, sorry!"
Diego entra corriendo,
Diego comes running in,
con su camiseta de México.

—¡Llegué antes del primer minuto!
"I made it before the first minute!"
Piden otra ronda de cervezas.
They order another round of beers.
—¿Quién gana hoy?
"Who's going to win today?"
—¡México, sin duda!
"Mexico, no doubt!"
—¡Ni hablar! Gana Argentina.
"No way! Argentina wins."
—Hagamos una apuesta:
"Let's make a bet:"

—Tengo trabajo nuevo —dice Javier.
"I have a new job," says Javier.
—¿Y tú, Marco? ¿Cómo va todo?
"And you, Marco? How's everything?"
—Estoy saliendo con alguien.
"I've been dating someone."
—¡No me digas! —ríe Diego.
"You don't say!" laughs Diego.
—Mi jefe está loco —se queja Diego.
"My boss is crazy," complains Diego.
Empieza el segundo tiempo.
The second half begins.
De repente, ¡México marca gol!
Suddenly, Mexico scores a goal!
¡Todo el bar explota!
The whole bar erupts!
Saltan y tiran la cerveza.
They jump and spill the beer.
Abrazan a desconocidos.
They hug strangers.
Pero Argentina empata tarde.
But Argentina ties it late.
—¡No puede ser! —grita Diego.
"It can't be!" Diego shouts.
Diego se tapa los ojos.
Diego covers his eyes.
—¡No puedo mirar!
"I can't watch!"
En el último minuto...
In the final minute...
¡México marca otra vez!
Mexico scores again!
¡El bar se vuelve loco!
The bar goes wild!
—¡Vamos! ¡Ganamos! —grita Javier.
"Let's go! We won!" Javier shouts.
—Marco, perdiste la apuesta.
"Marco, you lost the bet."
—¡Mesero, tequila para todos!
"Waiter, tequila for everyone!"
Levantan los vasos juntos.
They raise their glasses together.
—¡Por la amistad y por México!
"To friendship and to Mexico!"
—¡Y por hacer esto más seguido!
"And to doing this more often!"
Al salir, ya planean el próximo partido.
On the way out, they're already planning the next match.
